Floating Suction Excavator “Vašek“

Brief description

The suction excavator to be used for mining in normally deep ponds, reservoirs, catchpits and rivers. The excavator can move from transport areas to water surface without any support of crane system.

The floating suction excavator Vašek is designed for selective removal of sediments and sludges from the bottom of waterways and reservoirs by using suction and laddling adapters (extension pieces). Furthermore, the machine is able to use other operational extension pieces which are common for excavators intended for excavation works on water surfaces and around in their vicinity.
The machine is designed as a floating one, it can be fixed during operation either with four hydraulically operated supports or with ropes. Due to the robust frame of the bottom side, the machine is also able to work on shallow waters or on dry ground, e.g. on surfaces where it is no longer possible to float.
The floating suction excavator is equipped with its own drive power. It moves on the water surface as being driven by a propeller. Behind the cabin, there are three hydraulically powered rope winches with brake, which can be used to move the vessel on the water surface or to get it fixed on deeper water surfaces.
The base consists of a steel float. There is a dredging arm located swivelly around the vertical axis, the arm consists of a boom, handle appropriate working tool. In front part of float, there are tipping braces with hydraulic control located on sides. They are here to fix the machine during its operation and to lift the machine for its loading onto a trailer during transport. At the rear of the machine, there are two hydraulically controlled piles which can be lifted up and down in vertical axis as well as tipped horizontally by using the hydraulic system. The piles are intended for machine fixation during its operation as well as transporting on the dry ground. Thanks to the piles, the machine can be lifted up in order to be loaded onto a trailer.
